這該怎麼答?
Unit 1 What are your greatest strengths? 你的最大優點為何?
新手:
Do not care about the job’s requirements. 不管工作要求為何。
“I am especially good at writing fictions, and that’s why when I heard there was a vacant position of the copyrights director in your publishing house, I immediately applied.”
「我特別擅長寫小說,所以我一聽說你們出版社有版權主任的職缺,便馬上提出申請。」
Boast too much. 太自誇。
“My greatest strength is not having any weaknesses.”
「我最大的優點便是沒有缺點。」
Too humble. 太謙虛。
“Let me think about it…. I think I still have to improve myself much to fit in well with your company.”
「讓我想想看……我想我還要多改善自己才能適合在貴公司工作。」
建議:
Answers should be about the job’s requirements. 答案應該要與工作要求相關。
“I am particularly good at organizing details and negotiating with English native speakers. With two years of experience of working in a copyright agency in the past, I am sure I am the best person for this position of the copyrights director.”
「我特別擅長安排細節項目還有與英語母語人士協商,過去我曾經在版權代理公司工作過兩年,因此我相信自己為版權主任一職的最佳人選。」
Give good examples to support statements. 舉出具體例子來作證論點。
“Above all, I think in terms of the employer and have made a very positive contribution to the whole company. In the past year, I successfully hosted visitors from Shanghai and organized company trip to Tokyo. Not only that, I managed to reduce the costs of new staff training by 50%.”
「最重要的是,我為以雇主立場來考量,對公司整體都做出非常正面的貢獻。過去一年下來,我成功接待了上海來的訪客,妥當安排好公司的東京之旅,除此之外,經過我的努力,新進員工訓練的費用得以省下一半。」
Give good comments from others. 舉出他人的好評。
“My former boss thinks that I helped him solve many problems. It must be because I always think in the shoes of the employer.”
「我上個老闆認為我幫他解決了很多問題,這一定是因為我總是站在雇主的角度來思考。」
